TMWIG Korea, a small and densely populated country, is surrounded by water on three sides. This extensive coastline offers ample opportunity for reclaiming badly needed land from the sea. Harbors represent the starting point for land reclamation, and logistics infrastructure is a key driver of the national economy. TM WIG has gained much experience by building a private jetty accommodating vessels of up to 100,000DWT for LG Chemical and a product jetty for LG Caltex-Oil at Yeocheon as well as an LPG offloading terminal at Incheon. The Civil Engineering Division will invest aggressively to secure more core technology related to harbor development and turn this business into a growth engine for the future.
